Costa Rica Canet Musician Series Beethoven
Canet is located in the highest-altitude coffee-growing region of Tarrazú, Costa Rica.
Caturra is a single-gene mutation of the Bourbon variety, first discovered in Brazil in 1937. Compared to Bourbon, it offers higher productivity and better disease resistance. The plant is also shorter in stature, making harvesting more convenient. In terms of flavor, Caturra typically presents citrusy acidity reminiscent of lemon or orange, along with a fruity sweetness.
This area is one of the most densely planted regions for fruit cultivation in Costa Rica. The farm owner primarily grows passion fruit, while coffee is grown in very limited quantities. Coffee cultivation is restricted to a specific area of the farm, where the plants receive special care, and only fully ripened red cherries are selectively handpicked.
